ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed proposals for furnishing all labor and materials as required by the Drawings and Specifications for the New Security Camera System to Humphreys County High School - ARP ESSER located at 700 Cohn Street, Belzoni, Mississippi 39038, will be received by the Humphreys County School District at 401 Fourth Street, Belzoni, Mississippi 39038 until 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 6, 2024, and then publicly opened and read aloud. Single stipulated sum bids will be received for all work required by the contract documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Humphreys County School District encourages Minority and/or Women-Owned

Business Enterprise Contractors and Subcontractors. Project Information: ESSER III funded, Bid No. 2700-2025-1 Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law, shall hold a current Mississippi Electronic Protection License (MEPL) as issued by law and have an active registration on SAM.gov.

Bids may be submitted by either of the following methods:

1. Electronic Bids will be accepted by electronic submission as a PDF file at https://www.jhharchitectsplans.com. Each bidder submitting a bid electronically shall include a cover document titled Bid: New Security Camera System to Humphreys County High School - ARP ESSER and shall list the bidder's Company Name, Company Address and MEPL as part of its PDF bid submittal.

2. Sealed bids will be received at the Humphreys County School District at 401 Fourth Street, Belzoni, Mississippi 39038. All sealed bids shall be marked on the outside face of the envelope “Bid: New Security Camera Systems to Humphreys County High School - ARP ESSER” and shall have the bidder's Company Name, Company Address and MEPL written on the outside of the envelope. If any envelope is not so marked, said bid shall not be opened or considered.

Bid documents are being made available via paper copy or digital pdf. Plan holders are required to register and order bid documents at www.jhharchitectsplans.com. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Selected plan rooms will be issued one (1) electronic copy without charge.

A Pre-Bid conference will be held at Humphreys County High School, 700 Cohn Street, Belzoni, Mississippi 39038 at 3:00 P.M., on Wednesday August 28, 2024. Proposals must be submitted on the form as shown in the specifications and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier’s Check in an amount equal to 5% of the Bid and as required by the Contract Documents.

Performance and Payment Bond, in the full amount of the contract, will be required for contract security.

The Contract or Contracts will be awarded to the lowest acceptable bidder, except that the Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Owner reserves the right to hold all bids for examination for a period not to exceed

Thirty (30) days and to award the Contract based on the best bid. All Bids shall be in compliance and subject to Sections 31-3-15 and 31-3-21 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 as annotated and amended, and in all case law pertaining thereto.
